Here’s a Test Post

I’m hoping that this works. Being that I usually don’t think to blog or do things like that while I’m actually at my computer, I figure ms I’d try out this wordpress app for my iPod Touch and see how it goes…

On other news for those who may not know, I moved into the apartment last weekend and finished up a rather anticlimactic week thanks completely to The Academy that truly did prepare me well for college. But my brothers and Grandma Graham came back down today to spend some time with me so I probably should get back to that…. :)

Hopefully with this much lighter class load and a little more free time than before I will have a little more time to get some more regular posts up (but I think I’ve said that on all of my one or two posts this entire year if that though, so take it with a grain of salt I guess. :)

I’m finally back!!!

Yes! My highly anticipated return to the world wide web return is finally here. I had some technical difficulties with my old hosting, but I have switched some things around and now I’m back! (and it’s actually cheaper the way I have it set up now). The only downside is that some of my old (and scarce) posts between Sept. 2008 I was unable to save and put back on the site, but they are still at my facebook under my “Notes”, so if you were looking for some of my older stuff and can’t find it here, then you can check there. So, now that I am live again, I will hopefully be posting regularly again and will keep you (however few of you there may be right now) up to date about my thoughts and my life.

Guess I am a little late

Well, a lot late I guess. I totally underestimated my free time. So, I will try to give a few quick highlights now while I am waiting for my next class (fyi-my class before this got done early which afforded me this “free” time.) So, since most of this stuff is just sort of random, I am just going to make a list, so here it goes:

  • To start, school is harder than ever before
  • I got 22 books for the first semester, which took me a huge duffel bag and a completely full backpack to get back to my dorm room
  • The food actually isn’t as bad as I had heard it was, but it is also hard to tell what the nutrition content is either so….??
  • Cross Country kicked me in the butt because, I will admit, I was lazy all summer and that lack of training finally caught up with me. It’s getting better though
  • My roommate and I get along really well, which is a Godsend, because some of the guys barely even talk to their roommates and can hardly stand being in the same room together. Richard, who is my roommate, is a pretty neat guy. We have pretty similar interests and he is definitely focused on school which is another big plus
  • To put this next one in a nutshell, I HEART COLLEGE SCHEDULING!!! 
  • I have become a much better disc player (yes, I know it is called ‘ultimate frisbee’, but they are insistent on it being disc so….whatev) and it works out nice because it’s a good stress relief, but I am also getting some more exercise and staying loose for cross country at the same time.

Check back on Saturday!!

Well, sort of. I am hoping that this weekend will afford me some time to share (with the few of you who still check this blog periodically) a little bit about my exciting first week of, what could be cosidered, “college.” I have some stuff I still need to get done tonight, so that’s it for now. 

One last thing. I know; I lied but… 

I am putting it up for comment on whether I should get a myspace while I am down here at school. Up to this point, I have tried (rather successfully I might add) to avoid social networking sites, not because of the usual safety reasons, but just for the fact that I haven’t really ever had the time to check and “keep up” on something like that (obviously evidenced by the randomness of my posts here. :) But now being so far away from home, I am reconsidering this and am open to comments from the “public” about whether I should or not. Now I really am done. :)
